Backup & export
Your backup should stay under your control.
Unleft gives you two ways to take information out of the app: a readable copy and a verified encrypted portable backup.
Readable copy
Save something you can inspect.
Use Apple’s share sheet to save a readable text copy to Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or another provider you choose.
This copy contains card details. It is not a complete restore package and does not include photo or voice attachments.
Encrypted portable backup
Create, verify and restore a protected package.
A portable backup can contain cards, statuses, reminders and attachments. It is encrypted on the device using the passcode you choose.
Unleft does not store your portable backup. You decide where the file lives and you are responsible for keeping both the file and its passcode safe.
Before you rely on a backup
- Create the backup and use Verify existing backup.
- Keep more than one copy when the information matters.
- Store the backup file separately from the passcode.
- Do not treat Unleft as the sole archive for irreplaceable documents.
No automatic upload
Unleft does not automatically upload your cards or attachments. To keep a recoverable copy, create an encrypted portable backup and save it somewhere you control.
